welcome

Best Homeschool Resources was developed with the goal of helping families make the most of their homeschool journeys. All homeschoolers are welcome here, and we believe that many of our recommended resources will resonate with families across a wide spectrum of educational philosophies and worldviews. This site accepts a scientific worldview, and the recommended resources are in line with this perspective. Currently, most of our resource recommendations are geared toward Elementary and Middle School students. We are working to build in-depth modules for key High School subjects. Stay tuned!

rebecca lambert, founder

Rebecca and her husband have eclectically homeschooled their now 14- and 13-year old boys from the beginning. Rebecca has a background in chemistry, with degrees from Tufts and Caltech, and has worked for many years as a science writer and editor. Her hobby is scouting out great educational resources, and this website aims to be the one-stop resource hub that she longed for when she started homeschooling. Rebecca and her family enjoy hiking, running, and learning together near Ithaca, New York.

Aubrie and her husband have enjoyed homeschooling both their boys, aged 14 and 12, from the beginning. Their eldest went off to public high school this year. Before homeschooling, Aubrie spent a decade supporting and coordinating collaborations on children's health policy with the Maine Children's Alliance, Maine Child Trauma Network, and the American Academy of Pediatrics, Maine Chapter. After moving back to New York, she joined her local homeschool co-op, served on the co-op Board of Directors, and helped build a new co-housing neighborhood at EcoVillage Ithaca. She enjoys singing, handcrafts, writing, working on co-housing finance, and obsessively researching the next homeschooling topic to study. The Entwoods live, work, and play in Ithaca, New York.

She has a Bachelor’s of Science degree from Cornell University and works as a freelance writer and editor. She also enjoys helping breastfeeding mothers as a La Leche League leader, a passion she will soon follow further by taking the Internationally Board Certified Lactation Consultant exam. Her family enjoys hiking, biking, taking care of a menagerie of animals, and playing outside in Newfield, New York.
